Morning glory
Today I got up early to get out and about and loved it. People were fresher and friendlier and the first hour was full of smiles, hellos and sok sabays (how are you?). After a while though I dwindled as the furore of the day set in so found a cafe to contemplate and tuck into a fitting breakfast of morning glory (green veg) and ginger tea.
The rest of the day was taken up with planning now I'm almost into the swing of work again. The main two things I need to do is write up the stories of some team-mates who I interviewed earlier this year and get going with language again. There's a couple of other bits of work afoot too, hopefully starting in November, so I'd really like to get the stories written soon and in the flow of language by then too.
Anyway, tonight was my team's weekly get-together where we share what we're up to and pray for each other. We're all part of or associated with the mission, World Horizons, based in Wales and there's 20 of us altogether with ages ranging from late 20s to early 70s and nationalities including Indonesian, American, Northern Irish, Scottish, English and Canadian. Tonight there were just 10 of us with some not well and some out of the country. Really enjoyed hearing what everyone's doing and catching up. It's been a while.
