Song
So here's a song inspired by all those at CarNet Nepal who I've just met. And with thoughts of the children down at the ArtSpace too. Who I've missed!
So it's a prayer. And best read/heard with the face of a child in mind:
There is something
That wants to crush you
And grind you into
Bits of nothing.
All that's good about you
All that's innocent and pure
And so beautiful.
All the goodness of your humanity
All the passion in your soul.
So we will fight for you
Be a light for you
Burn it bright for you
And pray others will see it too.
And we will look after ourselves
So we can look after you
And not grow weary
But keep on keeping on
For you.
There is something
That seeks to isolate you
That seeks to pick you off
And keep you in the dark.
All the wildness whirling
All the dreams unfurling
All the colours
That are so beautiful.
All the wisdom of your humanity
All the passion of your soul.
So we will celebrate you
Seek to liberate you
Create the spaces
Where you can flourish.
And we will pour into you
What others poured into us
And maybe one day
You'll be pouring
Into others too....
So it's a prayer. And best read/heard with the face of a child in mind:
