Monkeys and monks

Tourist time no 2 was going to the Monkey Temples overlooking the Kathmandu Valley. Not that they're temples for monkeys. There's just a lot of them on a hill with lots of monkeys running around. Tried to catch said monkeys in a series of photos but wasn't very successful. So I give you this, my best shot:



Slightly easier to capture the temples though....



And a rare treat to get this Tibetan monk to stop and pose with me:



Funny to find some shops amongst it all. Much the same as the Thamel ones from the night before. Best one was this...



...run by a Christian artist who likes to add a Scriptural twist to her work...



...and bring something different to the mix up there.
